PM chairs 1st board meeting of Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service

AMMAN — Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service shows the importance that His Majesty King Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Hussein have attached to volunteering efforts, Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh said on Wednesday.

Chairing the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the "Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service", Khasawneh highlighted the Crown Prince's keenness to bolster volunteerism, as well as create a public atmosphere that appreciates the creativity of Jordanian youth and citizens, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Minister of Youth and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Award Mohammed Nabulsi said that the award, which was established by the ministry, aims to instil a culture of volunteering in Jordanian society and organise efforts in this arena, as well as support every volunteering effort and create a spirit of competition among individuals and institutions.
