PM ‘committed to boosting women’s participation’

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Sunday directed the Council of Ministers to adopt all recommendations of the Lower House’s Financial Committee on the 2015 state budget law, which was endorsed by the Upper House.
The premier’s directives came during a Cabinet meeting during which he congratulated Jordanian women on the occasion of International Women’s Day, pledging his government’s commitment to enhancing women’s participation in the country’s sustainable development and decision-making process.
The Cabinet also endorsed the memoranda planned to be signed with Japan to implement the Petra museum project at a cost of JD$6.5 million.
