AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and Iraqi Vice President Iyad Allawi on Sunday examined means to boost cooperation.
Ensour stressed Jordan’s support of Iraq and its stability, and said the Kingdom does not interfere in the domestic affairs of its neighbours.
Discussions focused on boosting economic cooperation and other issues, including Jordan’s training of Iraqi police and meetings of the Jordanian-Iraqi joint committee scheduled to be held in Baghdad next year.
Ensour also said the recent visit by Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi to Amman indicated the Iraqi government’s openness and its desire to cooperate with Jordan.
