AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Monday issued Circular No. 56 of 2022 based on the provisions of Defence Order No. 6 of 2020, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The circular stipulates the inapplicability of provisions mentioned in Defence Order No. 6 related to terminating work contracts or their automatic renewal, and circulars issued under the defence order for private sector employees appointed after the defence order went into effect.
The defence order applies to private sector institutions and any other institutions subject to the Labour Law, whether these institutions were established before or after the order was issued.
To implement such procedures articles A and B of items 21 and 23 of the Labour Law No. 8 for 1996 are effective.
The prime minister has the authority to amend the items of this circular under circulars issued for this purpose.
