AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Sunday met Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity Abdulhamid Aldabaiba and his accompanying delegation.

The talks during the meeting emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation between the countries in all fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Khasawneh reiterated the Kingdom’s support for all political agreements that ensure Libya’s stability and security and expressed readiness to provide all necessary capabilities to meet Libya’s needs.

Aldabaiba highlighted the importance of Jordan’s role in providing solutions for various regional challenges and commended the deep-rooted Jordanian-Libyan ties.

He expressed Libya’s readiness to cooperate and gain from Jordan’s experience in the human resources field.

Both sides discussed partnerships in the fields of education, health and banking-services, as well as to engage Jordan in rebuilding projects.

The two sides agreed to form a joint ministerial committee to reach agreements to settle Libya’s debts for Jordanian hospitals, notably to set up a repayment schedule.

The two prime ministers also agreed that a meeting will be held, between the Jordanian and Libyan ministers of health, to develop plans to improve the skills of Libyan medical employees, help in the management of a number of Libyan hospitals and to open a medical centre in Libya, benefitting from Jordanian experience in this arena.
