AMMAN — The Ministry of Health on Thursday issued a statement over circulated information related to the transfer of patients from Prince Hussein Hospital to Al Gardens Hospital due to an Oxygen outage.
The ministry said that an expansion project is taking place at Prince Hussein Hospital’s emergency department, which began about a month ago, adding that an excavation in the morning resulted in an oxygen pipeline failure.
Among the patients, there is only one COVID-19 patient who needs oxygen. The patient was transferred to Al Gardens Hospital, the statement read, affirming that he arrived in a good condition.
No patients have been affected by the damage, the ministry said, noting that the hospital has adequate oxygen cylinder supplies on site, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
