Princess Basma meets with JIF board chairman, director

AMMAN — HRH Princess Basma, president of the Goodwill Campaign’s higher committee, on Sunday received Jordan Insurance Federation's (JIF) Board of Directors Chairman Majed Smeirat and JIF Director Maher Hussein, a statement from the federation said.

Princess Basma congratulated Smeirat on his new post as chairman of the board, and expressed her support to the federation's efforts and her pride in JIF's achievements.

During the meeting, the princess and the JIF officials reviewed the Goodwill Campaign's achievements during the past few years and the campaign's role in providing social security and stability, fighting poverty and unemployment and enabling women to establish money-generating projects, according to the statement.

Princess Basma stressed the JIF's role in supporting Goodwill's efforts. For his part, Smeirat thanked Princess Basma for her constant cooperation with the JIF and the opportunity to highlight the sector's role in the community.
