Princess Basma visits National Goodwill Campaign patients

AMMAN — HRH Princess Basma, president of the Goodwill Campaign Higher Committee of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development, on Monday checked on the condition of patients who receive treatment at Shmeisani Hospital as part of the campaign.

Patients underwent surgeries that were supervised by specialist doctors who volunteered for the campaign free of cost. All surgeries were successful, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

During the visit, Princess Basma attended the signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between the campaign and the hospital, which was signed by Director of Fertilisation and Genetics Unit at the hospital Hilal Abu Ghoush and the head of the campaign’s medical team Nayef Abdallat.

The princess expressed the campaign’s pride in such a model of humanitarian partnership among national institutions, mainly in the medical field, with the aim of providing advanced medical services for patients from various regions of the Kingdom as part of the campaign.

She added that medical services offered by the campaign in cooperation with partners constitute a qualitative leap in their lives and contribute to ending their suffering and running normal lives.

Princess Basma also listened to a briefing from the medical team on the nature of surgeries, where they stressed that patients are in good condition and recovering. 

Abu Ghoush said that the partnership with the campaign reflects the hospital’s keenness to play a humanitarian role towards the campaign’s patients and contributing to enhancing medical services, expressing the hospital’s pride in joining the campaign partners.

During the visit, Princess Basma inaugurated the Fertilisation and Genetics Unit at the hospital and toured the unit’s facilities that were equipped with the modern equipment.
