Private sector licensed nurseries reaches 1,105 — Social Development Ministry

AMMAN — The number of licensed nurseries in the Kingdom has reached 1,105, including 11 home nurseries, 418 institutional nurseries spread among ministries and government institutions and 676 nurseries in the private sector, the Ministry of Social Development said on Monday. Nurseries importantly provide social, psychological and health support for children, taking into account their developmental and social characteristics, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. In order to ease the licensing process for new nurseries an electronic service has been introduced that includes services related to the application process and renewal of licences in all 40 field directorates, the ministry said.
