AMMAN — The EU has concluded a project aimed at raising children’s awareness of renewable energy, implemented in partnership with the Children’s Museum Jordan (CMJ) from April 2015 to October 2016.
The conclusion ceremony took place at Deir Abi Saeed Comprehensive School for Girls in Irbid Governorate, one of the Children’s Mobile Museum’s stops during its third tour in the northern governorates this year, according to a CMJ statement released Tuesday.
The joint project supported the CMJ at its premises in Amman, through one of its “Community Connections” programmes, which educated children on how important it is to conserve the environment and energy.
It also supported the Children’s Mobile Museum to develop eight new interactive exhibits in its newest station “Power around Us” to make children in Amman and across the Kingdom aware of renewable energy and how to generate power using natural resources like wind and water.
