Public works minister checks on Northern Badia projects

AMMAN — Public Works Minister Sami Halaseh checked on the progress of several road and construction projects in Northern Badia on Thursday.

Halaseh visited the construction site of the JD520,000 Rweished Youth Centre and the JD544,000 Manshiet Ghiath Healthcare Centre.

The minister’s tour also covered the Safawi-Iraq border road.

The JD6.5 million maintenance project there is being implemented over three years.

Halaseh visited Northern Badia Hospital, where 90 per cent of construction work has been completed.

The minister said the Health Ministry will soon take over the 17,000-square metre hospital, which cost around JD14 million.
