Regent meets OceanX founder

AMMAN — HRH Prince Feisal, the Regent, on Thursday received Ray Dalio, the founder of OceanX, an international organisation specialised in the scientific exploration of oceans and marine life.

The meeting covered the unique characteristics of Aqaba’s marine environment and the opportunities it offers, as well as OceanX’s scientific expedition currently underway in the Gulf of Aqaba to explore and map out the marine environment there, according to a Royal Court statement.

Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh and Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh attended the meeting.

In May, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with OceanX for the scientific exploration of Jordanian waters in the Gulf of Aqaba.
