AMMAN — Under the EU-funded project “Technical Assistance to the Skills for Employment and Social Inclusion Programme for Jordan” (TA SESIP), implemented by a consortium led by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC) was engaged in a retreat that involved 20 of its senior and middle managers in Aqaba on September 18 and 19, which aimed to lead to the finalisation of the five-year TVSDC Action Plan.

The retreat reviewed the vision and mission of the TVSDC, as well as the operations of the TVSDC, according to a statement made available to The Jordan Times. It looked into its short-term objectives for the year 2020, and medium-term objectives for the year 2022, in addition to long-term objectives for the year 2025.

Tarek Al Rashdan from the TVSDC led the retreat, which was facilitated by the SESIP Key Expert Abdelbasit Saleh. The retreat resulted in the finalisation of the action plan and a roadmap for the next steps of the implementation of the TVET reform in Jordan, according to the statement.
