AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Sunday met with a youth delegation from the Nashama initiative at Jerash Private University and highlighted Jordan's ongoing political and humanitarian efforts under His Majesty King Abdullah's directives to support the people in the Gaza Strip.

Issawi stressed that the King exerts intensive regional and international efforts to stop Israeli attacks on Gaza and protect civilians, calling on the international community to deter Israel from continuing its crimes against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, according to a Royal Court statement.

The Royal Court chief also said that the Kingdom also provides humanitarian, medical, and relief assistance to Gaza, and treats patients in Jordanian field hospitals in the besieged strip.

He referred to King Abdullah’s continuous warnings in international forums about the risks of ongoing Israeli aggression leading to regional crisis, increasing violence, insecurity and instability.

Issawi also reiterated the Kingdom’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians or the separation of the West Bank and Gaza.

He highlighted the significant impact of Jordan’s diplomatic efforts, leading many countries to adopt calls to stop Israeli aggression and ensure the sustained flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

The Royal Court official also highlighted the roles of Her Majesty Queen Rania and HRH Crown Prince Hussein in supporting these efforts, where Queen Rania seeks to raise awareness about the injustice Palestinians face, and the Crown Prince oversees aid dispatches and field hospitals.

He also reiterated that the Kingdom will continue to defend Palestinian rights, aiming for an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Issawi stressed that Jordan will not accept any settlement of the Palestinian issue at the Kingdom's expense or that does not meet Palestinian aspirations.

The youth delegation expressed pride in Jordan’s support for Palestinians and praised the King’s efforts in this regard.

They also highlighted the role of Jordanian diplomacy in conveying the truth about Israeli crimes and the importance of youth in promoting Jordan's positions.

The delegates commended the bravery of HRH Princess Salma and the contributions of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and security agencies in maintaining national security and stability, stressing their commitment to supporting the King’s vision for Jordan’s development and unity.
