Royal Court Chief reviews development projects in Tafileh, Maan

AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Saturday checked on a number of projects in Tafileh and Maan implemented under Royal initiatives.

The tour included projects aimed at stimulating economic growth and providing basic services, in line with His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives made during his visits to these regions.

During his visit, Issawi, who is also head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal Initiatives, stressed the importance of Royal initiatives to promote development across the Kingdom, especially through projects that create jobs, empower youth and encourage women's economic participation.

He noted that these projects help reduce poverty and unemployment, while encouraging investment and economic development in remote areas, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

"These Royal initiatives are among the most successful employment projects in local communities," Issawi said, noting the far-reaching impact on social and economic development.

Highlighting the importance of the Productive Branches Initiative, which was launched in 2008 per Royal directives towards encouraging the establishment of factory branches in rural areas, he said that the move has become a cornerstone of the Kingdom's mission to meet the needs of young people by creating job opportunities that match their aspirations and local demand.

Commenting on the new Military Retirees Club in Tafileh, Issawi emphasised its role in honouring the service of military retirees, noting “These clubs are part of a nationwide effort to provide quality services and facilities for our veterans and to recognise their outstanding service to the nation".

He added that the club is part of a broader package of projects to support military retirees across the Kingdom.
