AMMAN — The Royal Court launched Monday its official Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/rhcjo) aimed at further direct communication and interaction with Jordanians and the world.
The page also aims at providing the public with regular updates on His Majesty King Abdullah’s activities and initiatives to advance the country, according to a Royal Court statement.
The Royal Hashemite Court officially launched a number of platforms on social media last year, namely Twitter (@RHCJO).
Facebook top executives welcomed the launch of the Royal Court’s official page, stressing that it will provide an opportunity for wider interaction locally and globally, the statement said.
Facebook’s Politics and Government Specialist Elizabeth Linder was quoted as saying: “It’s a great pleasure to welcome His Majesty King Abdullah II, and the Royal Hashemite Court to Facebook. What’s so exciting about Facebook is that it enables dialogue to be two-way, thus distinguishing traditional communications with a more modern, more direct and more personal approach.”
