AMMAN — In implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah during his meetings with the people and dignitaries of Tafileh and Maan governorates, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Saturday inaugurated a number of Royal initiative projects in the two governorates.

Issawi, who is also head of the follow up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, handed over the keys of 10 new houses to beneficiary families in the Hassa district, one house for a family in Tafileh’s Qadissiah region and another for a family in Maan’s Mureighah region, as part of the Royal initiative for housing for underprivileged families.

The initiative, which was launched in 2005, covers all the Kingdom’s governorates and aims to provide decent and stable lives for beneficiary families that are chosen according to the Ministry of Social Development’s criteria.

Also in Hassa, Issawi attended the opening of a 450-square-metre multipurpose hall that will serve as an incubator for young entrepreneurs and will hold a variety of cultural events and activities. The hall’s second floor will be the headquarters of the Al Hassa municipality.

In Maan, Issawi inaugurated a 22-dunum park. The largest in the southern region, the “Maan Model Park” is part of a series parks established following the Royal directives across the Kingdom, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The Royal initiatives across the Kingdom take into account the priorities of beneficiary communities and seek to meet the development, economic and social needs of local residents, Issawi said, noting that these initiatives are implemented according to specific blueprints and timetables.

He added that the Royal initiatives’ projects are implemented according to the highest standards and technical specifications, to realise His Majesty King Abdullah’s vision to achieve a positive change in local communities.

Issawi noted that the projects focus on productivity and sustainability in the development process to improve the living conditions of people, mainly the underprivileged families.
