Senate committees elect new chairpersons

AMMAN — Four Senate committees on Wednesday elected new chairpersons after the resignation of their former chairs who joined Prime Minister Hani Mulki’s Cabinet.
Committee members chose Senator Abdullah Oweidat as chair of the Education Committee, Senator Hisham Sharari for the Tourism and Heritage Committee, Senator Shihadeh Abu Hdeib for the Public Services Committee and Senator Mohammad Eid Bondoqji for the Freedoms and Citizens’ Rights Committee, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Senator Taghrid Hikmat was elected as rapporteur in the Freedoms and Citizens’ Rights Committee.
