AMMAN — The world is experiencing major challenges, conflicts and political crises that require restoring the momentum of parliamentary action and working as one team, Senate President Faisal Fayez said on Thursday. Addressing the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Parliamentary Network in Azerbaijan, Fayez emphasised the importance of joint action to address problems and resolve conflicts and crises, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network is a gateway that helps parliamentarians to exchange ideas and discuss challenges to find solutions, he said, calling for adopting a document handling the joint parliamentary work of non-aligned states. In 1995, Jordan, among 28 countries, took part in the launching of the Non-Aligned Movement that calls for respecting human rights and enhancing cooperation to serve common interests, Fayez added.
