Senate president receives 2016 human rights report

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Tuesday received a copy of the 2016 annual report on the human rights situation in Jordan from the president of National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) Mohammad Adnan Bakhit, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the meeting, Fayez stressed the Senate’s support to the NCHR, noting that it will present the report to the relevant committees to examine its recommendations and take the necessary legislative action. For his part, Bakhit highlighted the role played by the centre in the field of human rights, stressing that it carries out its work with professionalism and high standards.
