Shamel winter session records 54% pass rate

AMMAN — Results of the 2017 winter session of the Shamel exam, the annual comprehensive final exam for community college students, were announced on Thursday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Al Balqa Applied University President Abdallah Srour Zou’bi, who is also head of the higher committee for the exam, said 5,253 students sat for it, 2,840 of whom passed, bringing the overall pass rate to 54.06 per cent. Students were from 48 public, private and military colleges in 109 specialisations, he added.
