Shboul stresses Kingdom's keenness to address challenges facing media sector

AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs Faisal Shboul on Monday met with Arab League Deputy Secretary General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector Ahmed Rachid Khattabi on the sidelines of the Arab Media Meetings that Jordan is hosting as of Tuesday.

Shboul, who is also the government spokesperson, stressed the Kingdom's support to hold the meeting and enhance Arab League efforts aimed at addressing challenges facing the sector, such as cases related to extremism and the influence of social media, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Khattabi highlighted the importance of holding these meetings that discuss important subjects and issues that are facing many communities. He also expressed appreciation for Jordan for hosting the meetings.
