Talhouni discusses scholarships with Hungarian ambassador to Amman

AMMAN — Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Bassam Talhouni and the Hungarian Ambassador to Jordan Csaba Czibere on Saturday discussed the increase in the number of Hungarians studying in Jordan.

Talhouni voiced his appreciation for the Hungarian government’s efforts to provide a safe and comfortable environment for Jordanian students in Hungary, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Czibere said that his country’s scholarship programme, whereby Hungarian universities provide 400 scholarships to the Kingdom annually, was based on bilateral cooperation agreements that include 65 countries.

He said that the scholarships cover bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees as well as tuition, monthly living allowances, housing and health insurance.
