AMMAN — The region needs development and construction projects rather than conflicts that strain its resources, Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh said on Monday. During a meeting with outgoing Moroccan ambassador Mohamed Sitri, Tarawneh praised Morocco’s stances that support the Palestinian issue, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

They also discussed means of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, highlighting the importance of continued coordination and consultation.

For his part, the Moroccan diplomat expressed his country’s pride in the “advanced level” of relations with Jordan, stressing that the ties between Rabat and Amman can be “a model for inter-Arab relations”.
