AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department (JCD) Spokesperson Col. Emmad Nosaeir on Saturday said an anti-smuggling patrol vehicle overturned while chasing two vehicles carrying contraband in Aqaba, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Nosaeir said three JCD personnel were injured while on duty, chasing the two Jeeps on a desert road in Aqaba. One vehicle was brought under control, and JCD agents found “smuggled luxurious clothes” in it, but the second vehicle sped off. The injured cadres were taken to the Prince Hashem Military Hospital, where they were listed in good condition.
