Turkish delegation visits Jordan Hejaz Railway

AMMAN — A Turkish parliamentary delegation on Monday visited the Jordan Hejaz Railway (JHR) in Amman after announcing the Turkish Development Agency (TIKA)’s planned construction of a JHR museum, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Transport Ministry secretary general and the director of the JHR, Anmar Khasawneh, said that the JD3.5 million grant from TIKA includes the establishment of a 3,000-square-metre museum, in addition to the restoration of buildings at the Amman station which reflect the history of the railway.
He noted that the museum will also include three floors with restaurants and cafés.
