AMMAN — Two children on Monday night suffered second-degree burns after a fire erupted in a bakery in Ajloun's Baoun neighbourhood, according to the Civil Defence Department (CDD).
Ajloun CDD rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire, while paramedics administered first aid to the injured before taking them to Iman Public Hospital, according to a CDD statement.
The children were reported to be in critical condition. The CDD said the fire was a result of a gas leak from a cylinder in the bakery.
