Two suspects arrested over robbery attempt, shooting

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested two suspects who allegedly shot a dentist in the leg in Amman’s Rabiah neighbourhood during an  attempted robbery, a Public Security Department statement said on Tuesday.

However, the dentist resisted the robbery attempt and the suspects escaped, leaving him injured. CID personnel identified two suspects who were in the vicinity of the dentist’s house. The dentist was taken to hospital and was reported to be in fair condition, according to the statement.
