AMMAN — President of the University of Jordan (UJ) Abdul Karim Qudah on Wednesday inaugurated a representation office for Tkiyet Um Ali and Dar Abu Abdullah, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
According to the director general of the charity, Samer Balqar, this could enable an effective partnership between the civil society and education institutions, to promote the concept of social work and volunteerism among students and instructors.
Balqar called on faculty members to participate in organising training courses for Dar Abu Abdullah’s beneficiaries in all fields and to train members of Jordan’s underprivileged households.
Qudah highlighted the important role of the university in supporting the two associations and their goals that aim at helping underprivileged families, mainly those under the food poverty line.
