‘Unemployment rate reached 18.5 per cent in third quarter of 2017’

AMMAN — The rate of unemployment in Jordan reached 18.5 per cent during the third quarter of 2017, according to a Department of Statistics (DoS) statement released on Tuesday.
For men, it reached 15.4 per cent, while it recorded 30 per cent among women.
DoS said that the total rate rose by 0.5 per cent compared with the second quarter of this year. For males, it increased by 2 per cent, while it dropped 3.9 per cent among females compared with the second quarter of this year.
