AMMAN — The Council of Ministers on Wednesday approved a by-law amending the by-law on work permit fees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The decision, effective after removing the halt on agriculture labour recruitment and after the grace period for workers to rectify their status, aims at unifying the permit fees for foreign labour.
According to the by-law, business owners will pay JD500 for annual work permits, while they will pay JD300 for temporary permits. Revenues will be used to support the Employment-Technical and Vocational Education and Training Fund and the Agriculture Credit Fund, according to Petra.
