AMMAN — The US embassy in Amman on Tuesday moderated a workshop titled “Expanding Your Business to the United Stated — Soft Landing and Site Selection” as part of the Queen Rania Centre for Entrepreneurship’s programming for Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The workshop, moderated by Senior Commercial Officer Janee Pierre Louis, was attended by an audience of Jordanian start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures seeking to expand their businesses by establishing a presence in the United States, according to an embassy statement.
“With a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship and a robust ecosystem to support start-ups to propel business and growth, the United States is an ideal location for Jordanian small-and medium-sized enterprises looking to grow globally,” said Louis.
Leah Schulz, an International Investment Specialist with SelectUSA, the US government programme to promote and facilitate inward US investment, joined the event virtually and highlighted the resources available to ensure Jordanian companies can make a successful landing in the United States, said the statement.
Schulz noted that the 2022 SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington DC is "an excellent platform for Jordanian companies seeking to deepen access to the US market".
The event also included a US site selection expert who focused on key considerations Jordanian businesses should evaluate when exploring locations to establish an enterprise in the United States.
