Project to enhance Lower House capabilities concluded

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Wednesday attended the closing ceremony of the “Enhancing the institutional capabilities of the Lower House” project.

Tarawneh highlighted the importance of cooperation with effective partner institutions specialised in parliamentary affairs, stressing that their role had a “big impact” on the House’s performance in the past few years, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

EU Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Matteo Fontana said that the EU seeks to enhance the roles and tasks of parliaments, especially at the legislative and monitoring levels, noting that the EU supports improvements made in the policy making process.
