Bronze for Jordan karate in Salzburg

AMMAN — Mutasim Khair has won a memorable bronze medal in the +84kg category at the K1 World Karate Tour taking place in Salzburg, Austria, according to the Jordan Olympic Committee News Service.
Mutasim lost to The Netherland’s Lary Teron, 7-1 in the semifinal after earlier beating fighters from Ukraine, Serbia, Spain and Slovakia.
His teammate Mahmoud Al Sajjan missed out in the –84kg weight after losing his fifth fight to Argentina’s Marcelo Miguel.
