8, 000 energy-saving lighting bulbs to be distributed to 1,600 families

AMMAN — The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Social Development on Sunday signed an agreement to implement an energy rationalisation project for underprivileged families, through the distribution of 8, 000 energy-saving lighting bulbs to 1,600 families in various regions of the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati, and the Minister of Social Development Hala Lattouf.
This agreement comes within a three-phase agreement the ministries of energy, social development and planning had previously signed through which solar heaters were installed for 627 households across the Kingdom, with a total cost of JD300, 000.
