Japan decorates former foreign minister Nasser Judeh

AMMAN — The Japanese government has awarded former foreign minister Nasser Judeh the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun in recognition of his notable contributions to promoting relations between Jordan and Japan.
The order is the highest order awarded to prominent non-Japanese figures for their achievements in bolstering relations between their countries and Japan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Wednesday.
The honouring ceremony will be held on Thursday in the attendance of Emperor Naruhito and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
