AMMAN — Jordan on Friday condemned the terrorist attack that targeted an Egyptian security checkpoint in El Arish, which resulted in the death of at least 12 soldiers and injuries to others.
Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani renewed the Kingdom’s rejection of such acts, through which terror organisations seek to destabilise Egypt and the security of its citizens, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Momani, who is also the minister of state for media affairs, voiced Amman’s support for Cairo in its endeavours to fight terrorism and extremism, and offered the government’s condolences to the Egyptian people and families of the victims.
