AMMAN — Authorities on Wednesday received a Jordanian national who had been reportedly detained in Israel after crossing the southern border, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah said.
Earlier in the day, it had been reported that the citizen had allegedly infiltrated the border but investigations revealed that he had lost his way before accidentally crossing to the Israeli side.
The citizen’s return is the result of continuous coordination between the Foreign Ministry and the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv, Qudah said.
