Jordan’s UPR delegation discusses upcoming review

AMMAN — The government’s official delegation for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) for Human Rights on Sunday discussed a set of information and administrative measures during a meeting headed by the government coordinator and chairman of the delegation, Basel Tarawneh, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Prime Minister Omar Razzaz last week formed the official delegation to discuss the government’s UPR before the United Nations Human Rights Council meets in Geneva on November 8.
The strategic adviser of the Danish Institute for Human Rights, Hanna Ziadeh pointed out that Jordan had advanced in human rights despite the refugee crisis, security situation and socioeconomic challenges encountered.
