Tarawneh meets with EU ambassador to discuss upcoming UPR

AMMAN — Government Coordinator for Human Rights Basel Tarawneh, on Tuesday discussed with EU Ambassador Andrea Fontana and an accompanying delegation, Jordanian efforts in human rights, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tarawneh reviewed Jordan’s third national report for Universal Periodic Review (UPR) for Human Rights, which will be discussed on November 8, before the Human Rights council in Geneva.
The EU ambassador voiced his appreciation for the official measures towards the UPR, expressing his gratitude for the partnership between the government and the civil society for human rights.
