Petra authority receives JD4.5m loan for heritage village project

AMMAN — The Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) and the Cities and Villages Development Bank (CVDB) on Thursday signed a loan agreement of JD4.5 million to help PDTRA implement the heritage village project.
CVDB Director General Ziad Adaileh said the loan would contribute to boosting tourist activity in Petra and create new job opportunities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tharwat Masalha, infrastructure and investment commissioner at PDTRA, said the heritage village project is one of nine projects the authority is carrying out within its development programme.
