AMMAN — One-hundred-and-thirty foreign guest workers who suffered from breathing difficulties and vomiting were admitted to Al Bashir and Totanji hospitals on Saturday, according to a Health Ministry statement.

Bashir Qaseer, head of the Health Ministry’s primary health directorate, said all the workers received the necessary treatment and left both hospitals in good condition, attributing their illness to an unhealthy residential environment.

Mohammad Abdullat, director of the Health Ministry’s communicable diseases directorate, said the epidemiological tests conducted by the health directorate in the capital showed their condition was not caused by a major communicable disease, according to the statement.
