AMMAN — A total 1,536 holders of university degrees and diplomas as well as 3,385 general secondary education certificate holders have enrolled in Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) institutes across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Three PhD holders, 31 master's and diploma holders, 1,015 bachelor's holders, and 487 community college diploma holders have enrolled in the VTC training programmes, according to the VTC.
VTC Director General Ahmad Gharaibeh told Petra in an interview Monday that the Corporation continued to develop its training institutes and programmes, especially those related to the "Fourth Industrial Revolution and green economy growth."
He said the institution's strategy is based on partnership with the private sector and the Kingdom's chambers of industry to offer training opportunities for the employment of young Jordanian men and women nationwide.
Gharaibeh said the VTC is keen on creating centres of excellence in promising sectors that are needed in the local and international labour markets, as well as its interest in developing trainers' skills in partnership with the private sector and donors, while paying attention to occupational safety and health.
