439 administrative detainees ordered released on occasion of Eid Al Fitr

AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Faraiah on Monday instructed administrative governors to release 439 administrative detainees on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.

Faraiah said that the decision was made after considering their files and ensuring that their release does not pose any threat to their lives or the security and public order of the country, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The minister added that the decision aims to give them “an opportunity to reengage in society”.
