Agriculture Ministry discusses cooperation with Int’l Olive Council

AMMAN — Agriculture Ministry Secretary General Radi Tarawneh on Tuesday met with International Olive Council Executive Director Jean-Louis Barjol in Spain.
They discussed means to establish an accredited laboratory in Jordan with the support of the council to chemically examine olive oil.
Talks also covered boosting cooperation between the ministry and the council, in addition to Jordan’s participation in annual meetings and expertise exchange.
The council said it will offer master’s and PhD scholarships to ministry employees to study olive research in 2015-16.
