Al Hussein youth camps kick off in Madaba

AMMAN — Deputising for HRH Crown Prince Hussein, Minister of Youth Hadithah Khreisha on Tuesday inaugurated the 2017 Al Hussein Camps in Prince Hashem Bin Abdullah II Youth City in Madaba.
Forty thousand young men and women are participating in the camps under the slogan “Volunteerism and community leadership”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The camps include military exercises to empower young people and programmes for personality development, said Khreisha.
He also noted that the camps have also attracted expatriate children this year.
In his remarks, Higher Youth Council Secretary General Sattam Awad said that the camps aim to reach the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah to create a generation of young men and women armed with knowledge to have an active role in nation building.
