Association to print Braille brochures on voting procedures

AMMAN — The Friendship Association of the Blind has produced brochures in Braille to help visually impaired people participate in the upcoming Lower House elections, the association said on Tuesday.
Over the next two days, 1,000 copies of a brochure outlining voting procedures will be printed, as well a thousand 125-page booklets detailing the Elections Law and the decisions of the Independent Election Commission, the association’s President Ahmad Lawzi said, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Lawzi said the association would also conduct workshops to boost the electoral participation of visually impaired Jordanians, who number up to 40,000.
