Awareness session held on theatre’s role against extremism

AMMAN — The Arab Thought Forum (ATF) on Tuesday held a dialogue session titled “The theatre of awareness and its role in fighting terrorism”, with the participation of actors Hassan Sabaileh and Rania Ismail.
ATF Secretary General Mohammad Abu Hammour said the meeting highlighted the role theatre can play in combating violence and terrorism, noting the need for proper production circumstances including diligent preparation and sufficient funds, according to an ATF statement.
For their part, Sabaileh and Ismail commended such events in raising the awareness of children and young people to protect them from extremist ideologies.
