Bani Mustafa, UK ambassador discuss social protection

AMMAN — Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and British Ambassador Bridget Brind on Sunday met over enhancing cooperation in the field of social protection.

Both sides discussed means to provide technical support to the ministry, mainly for shelters, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Bani Mustafa highlighted the ministry’s efforts towards enhancing social protection and supporting shelters, noting that the children of the beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund have been placed in training courses.

Stressing that social protection is among the UK’s top priorities, the diplomat expressed her country’s readiness to help in completing the existing programmes related to social protection and women empowerment.
