Consumer price index rose by 0.53% in first 8 months of 2020

AMMAN — The consumer price index, a measurement of inflation, increased in the first eight months of 2020 by 0.53 per cent, reaching 101.04 points compared with the same period in 2019, which stood at 100.51 points.
According to the Department of Statistics’ (DoS) monthly report, the general index of consumer prices for August 2020 decreased by 0.56 per cent, reaching 100.66 points compared with 101.23 points for the same period in 2019, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
